The role of "Jambassador" is an unpaid player position to which WildWorks, the creators of Animal Jam, provide exclusive resources and opportunities. These brand ambassadors, because of their dedication to the game, are given support to help make their content the best it can be!
 

Benefits include but are not limited to:

• Early game content previews; so they can prepare their posts ahead of time!
• Exclusive game materials that make their content stand out.
• Interviews & discussion panels with staff members.
• Opportunities to host monthly in-game promotional events with special prizes.
• Collaboration opportunities with our official social media channels.
• Opportunities to publish their content in-game.
• Letters of recommendation for their school & job applications.
   

Requirements & Prerequisites:

• Post content of some form at least once a month
• Content is appropriate for the platforms on which it's posted
• 2,000+ followers on your primary media sharing platform
• Player is 13 years of age or older
• If under 18, has parent permission to apply & partake in the program
• Follow Animal Jam rules & TOS while in-game
• Show a positive attitude in and outside of the game
   

Joining the Jambassador program will NOT require a player to change anything about their content nor will it restrict what they post on their personal social media platforms. They are permitted to take a break from posting Animal Jam content at any time without losing their position as a Jambassador.

Jambassadors must continue to follow the same in-game rules & TOS as other players, and will not be granted any exceptions in account discipline decisions.  Jambassadors will also not be permitted access to other players' personal information, nor insights into any individual account discipline cases.

Who Are The Jambassadors?

Jambassadors are players who enjoy Animal Jam and have been part of the community for years. They create content like videos, artwork, and other materials to share their experiences of the game on social media. They are passionate about the game and community and are excited to help support the game as it grows.

How Are Jambassadors Selected?

Jambassadors start as ordinary players who create content. The application process is initiated by AJHQ (Animal Jam Headquarters) when they announce that applications for the program are opening. This announcement is typically made every two or three years, though there is no set timeline, and it can happen unexpectedly.

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be a minimum of 13 years old.
• Create appropriate Animal Jam-related content suitable for their social media audience.
• Follow all the in-game rules.

The selection is made by AJHQ, who choose content creators they believe are the best fit to represent the brand. Some players may even receive an invitation without applying. New Jambassadors are often added in waves over a period of weeks or months.

What Do Jambassadors Actually Do?

When a content creator is invited to be a Jambassador, the initial guidance is to simply "keep doing what you’re already doing!" They are chosen because their existing content style is a creative fit for the brand, and they are encouraged to be original. Jambassadors can share their content in various ways, including videos, art, games, and informative articles, for both Animal Jam and Animal Jam Classic. They form a diverse group, each chosen for their unique skills and perspectives, bringing a wide variety of content to the community.

Behind the scenes, Jambassadors:

• Participate in meetings and discussions with AJHQ.
• Receive exclusive access to beta testing for new game features and insight into development.
• Can suggest ideas for new features and items.

Perks of the role include:

• An exclusive Mission Badge and Nameplate.
• A chance to join the official AJ Jambassadors Pack.
• Item or sapphire rewards for actively participating in projects.
• Official artwork of their main avatar drawn by AJHQ illustrators.

Jambassadors also participate in various projects, such as creating video guides and making fun or informative collaborative posts for Animal Jam’s official social media channels. They also host monthly special events in both Animal Jam and AJ Classic with AJHQ, where players can join in games and win prizes (Jambassadors are provided a limited number of exclusive items for these prizes).

What they are NOT:

• They are not a messaging service for players to contact AJHQ—player suggestions and reports should use the in-game feedback tools.
• They are not moderators and have no power over other players; they cannot ban, unban, access confidential information, or change moderator decisions.
• They are not guaranteed unlimited rare items to give away.
• They are not paid employees.

All other contributions, such as answering player messages on social media, setting up community projects, or hosting their own events and giveaways, are voluntary. Jambassadors are regular players with personal lives, and they have the right to set personal boundaries, including saying no to interaction requests.

Why Become A Jambassador?

The motivations for becoming a Jambassador are varied:

1. Representation: To represent a specific niche interest or content genre within the Animal Jam community.
2. Learning: To learn directly from AJHQ about content creation and the video game industry. Animal Jam will also write references for Jambassadors to use on college applications and job resumes.
3. Fun: Simply because it's fun! They get to see and test new features before the rest of the community, and they get to interact with the community at events and through their content.

Do Jambassadors get paid?

Jambassadors do not get paid for their participation in the Jambassador program. They are, however, permitted to receive monetary compensation from the Animal Jam affiliate program if they so choose, but the affiliate program is entirely separate from the Jambassador program.
